The lead time to manufacture the tooling varies depending on the complexity of the order. In large enterprises, work is usually carried out by two teams in two shifts.

Generally, production cycle has the following timing distribution (for molds of medium complexity and size):

• production of design documentation - 4-7 days;
• order of mold blocks (and delivery) - 7-12 days;
• simultaneously to the step above - the order of steel forming - 5-8 days;
• the manufacture of mold - 7-10 days;
• heat treatment - 3-5 days;
• machining of standard blocks - 3-5 days;
• assembly - 2-3 days;
• together with the FOT/SOT procedures and surface finishing of tooling - 26-42 days.
